The 2024-25 season began with a resounding return for Pedro Martínez as coach of the Valencia team. The Badalona-born coach returned to Valencia Basket seven years later to lead the men's team.

For this new season, two of the point guards from the previous season would continue, Chris Jones and Stefan Jovic, and would be joined, now as a first-team player, by the young Sergio de Larrea. Injuries in the first half made it possible for Croatian point guard Goran Filipovic to arrive for a month. At shooting guard, two new signings were made: the electric Jean Montero from the Dominican Republic and the jack-of-all-trades from Senegal, Brancou Badio. On the wings, Spaniards Xabi López-Arostegui and captain Josep Puerto would remain, as well as the powerful Semi Ojeleye.

The inside game would undergo many changes. Jaime Pradilla and Nate Reuvers would be joined by Matt Costello, Ethan Happ, and Nate Sestina, creating a dynamic and mobile center force. Soon, an untimely foot injury to Happ would facilitate the arrival of Ghanaian Amida Brimah.

The team got off to a strong start in both the Endesa League and the BKT EuroCup, even overcoming the constraints of a schedule that was saturated due to the large number of consecutive games caused by the terrible Dana that devastated southern Valencia. Possibly because of this overexertion, the Copa del Rey was a setback for the orange team, which fell in the quarterfinals to the host Dreamland Gran Canaria.

In Europe, the team advanced through the rounds until they faced the powerful Hapoel Tel Aviv in the semifinals, packed with EuroLeague players. A third all-or-nothing game at the Fonteta Stadium would fall to the Israeli side, the eventual winner of the competition.

The final stretch of the season saw Valencia Basket fight determinedly to finish the Endesa League regular season as high as possible, resulting in a second-place finish, demonstrating their good form. Along the way, a new addition was Dominican Joel Soriano at center. In the quarterfinals, the orange team defeated Dreamland Gran Canaria 2-0, shaking off the ghosts of the past. In the semifinals, an experienced La Laguna Tenerife team was powerless against the orange team, who, with a quick victory, 3-0, would advance to their third Endesa League final in their history.

In the final Playoff, Real Madrid awaited, this time without home-court advantage. The Whites won the first two games in Madrid, in duels marked by the Valencians' long trip to the capital. A close second game could have easily gone the way of Valencia, but controversial final decisions left the second point in the capital. In the third, with the Fonteta stadium adorned with "Gràcies Fonteta!" T-shirts, the Valencians closed out a successful season in what was the last official game at the venue that housed Valencia Basket for 37 seasons. The Roig Arena awaited.
